SAMSUNG製携帯電話がBluetooth3.0を採用!!

韓国のSAMSUNG製の携帯電話端末「Samsung GT-S8500」がBluetooth 3.0を採用していることが分かった。

GT-S8500は未発表端末である。

2010/02/01付けでBluetooth認証を通過したことによって、Bluetooth3.0に対応していることが明らかになった。

Bluetooth認証のページには下記のように記載されている。

S8500 is Full Touch stylish phone with reinforced features. 3.1 inch OLED screen perform expanding full touch to follow TouchWIZ. This display is anti-reflective and has High resolution, so it is suitable for outdoor activity with enhanced outdoors visibility. Its design concept is compact and slim, various color version available. It supports EDGE/GPRS Quad-Band(850/900/1800/1900).

3.1インチの有機ELディスプレイを採用しており、3.1インチという画面サイズから考えるとフラッグシップモデルではないように思う。

Geographic AvailabilityはEuropeとなっており、欧州向けに販売されるものと考えられる。

また、GT-S8500はWi-Fi認証も通過しており、Wi-Fi IEEE 802.11 nにも対応していることが判明している。

SAMSUNG製端末ではGT-S8500以外にもGT-S7200もIEEE 802.11 nに対応していることが判明しており、今後はIEEE 802.11 nに積極的な姿勢であることが分かる。

GT-S8500は2010/02/02付けでFCCも通過している。

SAMSUNGは世界各国でハイスペックなスマートフォンを投入しているので、日本でのマーケティングも期待したいところである。
