アラブ首長国連邦のdu、Viettel High Tech製の5G基地局を試験

ベトナムのViettel Group (軍隊工業通信グループ)の支店であるViettel High Technology Industries Corporation – Branch of Viettel Group (Viettel High Tech)はアラブ首長国連邦(UAE)の移動体通信事業者(MNO)でduとして携帯通信事業を行うEmirates Integrated Telecommunications CompanyがViettel High Technology Industries Corporation – Branch of Viettel Groupの通信設備の試験を開始すると発表した。

試験の詳細は開示していないが、Emirates Integrated Telecommunications CompanyではOpen RANの導入を想定して公衆携帯通信網およびプライベートネットワークの両方でViettel High Technology Industries Corporation – Branch of Viettel Groupが開発した第5世代移動通信システム(5G)の基地局を構成する通信設備の試験を行う。

Viettel High Technology Industries Corporation – Branch of Viettel GroupではOpen RANに対応した5Gの基地局を構成する通信設備として無線装置と分散装置を製品化している。

そのため、Emirates Integrated Telecommunications CompanyではViettel High Technology Industries Corporation – Branch of Viettel Groupが開発した無線装置と分散装置の一方もしくは両方を試験する見込みである。

なお、Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Companyはアラブ首長国連邦のHigh Cloud Technologiesと協力してViettel High Technology Industries Corporation – Branch of Viettel Groupが開発した通信設備の試験を進める。

Viettel High Technology Industries Corporation – Branch of Viettel GroupはHigh Cloud Technologiesを中東のパートナーに指定しており、High Cloud Technologiesと協力して中東で事業の拡大を目指している。

Viettel High Technology Industries Corporation – Branch of Viettel Groupが開発した無線装置と分散装置の商用化の実績はベトナムに限られるが、国際的な協力を通じて品質の向上に努め、国際的な存在感を高める計画である。
