経営破綻したナイジェリアのEMTSがブランド名を9mobileに刷新、公式ウェブサイトも公開

ナイジェリアの移動体通信事業者であるEmerging Markets Telecommunication Services (EMTS)はブランド名を正式に変更した。
これまでEmerging Markets Telecommunication ServicesはEtisalatブランドを所有するアラブ首長国連邦(UAE)のEmirates Telecommunications Corporationとの提携に基づいてEtisalatブランドで展開してきたが、Emirates Telecommunications Corporationは債務不履行に陥ったEmerging Markets Telecommunication Servicesとすべての提携を終了すると発表していた。
Emirates Telecommunications CorporationはEtisalatブランドの継続に関して交渉する可能性も示唆していたが、Emerging Markets Telecommunication Servicesは経営会議でEtisalatブランドを終了し、新たに9mobileブランドで展開することを決めた。
Emerging Markets Telecommunication Servicesは新たなブランドとして9mobileブランドを正式に発表しており、それに伴い9mobileブランドの公式ウェブサイトも公開した。
ブランド名は9mobileブランドに刷新したものの、9mobileブランドのカラーリングは緑色をベースとしたEtisalatブランドのそれを継承している。
