ベトナムの4G LTE、当局の調査でハノイ市ではMobiFoneが最速に

ベトナムの行政機関で電気通信事業などを管轄する情報通信省(Ministry of Information and Communications：MIC)傘下の電気通信局(Authority of Telecommunications：VNTA)はベトナムの首都・ハノイ市とその周辺における移動体通信事業者(MNO)各社が提供するLTEサービスの通信速度に係る調査結果を発表した。

電気通信局はハノイ市とその周辺において、2018年12月18日から2018年12月21日と2018年12月24日から2018年12月27日にかけて通信速度を測定して調査を実施したという。

調査の対象となる移動体通信事業者はViettel Telecom Corporation – Branch of Viettel Group、VNPT VinaPhone Corporation、MobiFone Corporationの3者である。

ベトナムではVietnamobile TelecommunicationsもLTEサービスを商用化しているが、調査の対象には含まれていない。

下りの平均通信速度は1位がMobiFone Corporationで39.04Mbps、2位がVNPT VinaPhone Corporationで24.72Mbps、3位がViettel Telecom Corporation – Branch of Viettel Groupで22.65Mbpsとなった。

MobiFone Corporationは下りの平均通信速度では2位と3位を引き離したが、LTEサービスの加入件数ではViettel Telecom Corporation – Branch of Viettel Groupが大きくリードしており、その次がVNPT VinaPhone Corporationで、MobiFone Corporationは3社のうち最も混雑度が低いと推定される。

MobiFone Corporationは3社のうちLTEサービスの商用化が最も遅く、提供エリアなどの観点でViettel Telecom Corporation – Branch of Viettel GroupやVNPT VinaPhone Corporationより劣る模様である。

また、上りの平均通信速度は1位がMobiFone Corporationで29.59Mbps、2位がVNPT VinaPhone Corporationで23.80Mbps、3位がViettel Telecom Corporation – Branch of Viettel Groupで21.79Mbpsとなり、順位は下りの平均通信速度と変わらない結果となった。

Viettel Telecom Corporation – Branch of Viettel Groupはベトナム人民軍を統括するベトナム政府機関の国防省(Ministry of National Defence)が完全所有するViettel Group (軍隊工業通信グループ)の従属会計単位で、従属会計単位には法人格がなく支店の扱いで、本社であるViettel Groupの委任によって事業を行う。

VNPT VinaPhone CorporationはVietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group (ベトナム郵便電気通信グループ：VNPT)の全額出資子会社である。

なお、Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications GroupおよびMobiFone Corporationは情報通信省が保有していたが、所有権はスーパー委員会とも呼ばれる国家資本管理委員会(Commission for the Management of State Capital at Enterprises：CMSC)に移管されており、国有企業改革の一環で株式会社化を経て外資を含む外部資本の受け入れを進める方針である。
