アジア・モバイル・アワード2016の結果を発表、端末部門ではGalaxy S7 edgeとRedmi Note 3が受賞

GSM Association (GSMA)は中国の上海で開催しているMobile World Congress Shanghai 2016 (世界移動大会・上海 2016)に合わせてAsia Mobile Awards 2016 (亞洲移動大獎 2016)の受賞結果を発表した。

Asia Mobile Awardsは複数のカテゴリと部門に分けられており、カテゴリ1のMobile AppsではBest Mobile Music App、Best Mobile App for Media, Film, TV or Video、Best Mobile App or Service for Enterpriseの3部門、カテゴリ2のConnected LifestyleではBest Mobile Innovation for Connected Lifestyle、Best Mobile Innovation for the Internet of Things、Best Mobile Innovation for Emerging Marketsの3部門、カテゴリ3のMobile DevicesではBest Smartphone or Tablet DeviceとBest Affordable Smartphoneの2部門、カテゴリ4のTechnology InnovationではBest Mobile Technology Breakthrough – Asiaの1部門、カテゴリ5のOutstanding AchievementsではOutstanding Contribution to the Asian Mobile Industryの1部門となる。

なお、優秀な端末が選ばれるカテゴリ3のMobile Devicesにおいて、優れたスマートフォンまたはタブレットとなるBest Smartphone or Tablet Deviceの部門ではSamsung Galaxy S7 edge、優れたエントリークラスのスマートフォンとなるBest Affordable Smartphoneの部門ではXiaomi Redmi Note 3が受賞した。
