米国における600MHz帯の周波数オークションに参加する事業体の最終リストを公開、ドコモパシフィックなどが参加

米国の政府機関で電気通信事業などを管轄するFederal Communications Commission (連邦通信委員会：FCC)は2016年8月16日より実施する600MHz帯の周波数オークションに参加する事業体の最終リストを公開した。

600MHz帯はテレビ放送用に割り当てられているが、第1段階は放送事業者がリバースオークションで周波数をFederal Communications Commissionに返却し、第2段階でFederal Communications Commissionが確保した周波数を周波数オークションで移動体通信事業者を含めた事業体に割り当てる。

第2段階に参加する事業体の最終リストが公開されており、辞退や剥奪などがない限り62の事業体が参加することが決まった。

米国本土のほかに米自治領プエルトリコ、米自治領北マリアナ諸島、米領グアムなどの事業体も参加する。
