GSMAがアジア・モバイル・アワード2016の候補を発表、端末部門ではSmartisan U1やXiaomi Mi 5などが候補に

GSM Association (GSMA)はMobile World Congress Shanghai 2016 (世界移動大会・上海 2016)の開催に先立ち、Asia Mobile Awards 2016 (亞洲移動大獎 2016)の受賞候補を発表した。

Mobile World Congerss Shanghai 2016は中国の上海で開催する計画で、Asia Mobile Awards 2016はMobile World Congress Shanghaiの会期中に発表する。

Asia Mobile Awardsは複数のカテゴリと部門に分けられており、カテゴリ1のMobile AppsではBest Mobile Music App、Best Mobile App for Media, Film, TV or Video、Best Mobile App or Service for Enterpriseの3部門、カテゴリ2のConnected LifestyleではBest Mobile Innovation for Connected Lifestyle、Best Mobile Innovation for the Internet of Things、Best Mobile Innovation for Emerging Marketsの3部門、カテゴリ3のMobile DevicesではBest Smartphone or Tablet DeviceとBest Affordable Smartphoneの2部門、カテゴリ4のTechnology InnovationではBest Mobile Technology Breakthrough – Asiaの1部門となる。

カテゴリ3のMobile Devicesにおいては、Best Smartphone or Tablet Deviceの部門でApple iPad Pro (9.7)、HTC 10、HUAWEI P9、LG G5、Microsoft Surface Pro 4、Samsung Galaxy S7 edge、Xiaomi Mi 5が候補に含まれており、Best Affordable Smartphoneの部門でASUS ZenFone Go、HUAWEI Honor 5X、MEIZU m3、MEIZU Meilan Metal、Smartisan U1、Xiaomi Redmi Note 3が候補となっている。
