RealMe重慶移動通信がrealme UIを披露、ColorOSから置き換え

中国のGuangdong OPPO Mobile Telecommunications (OPPO広東移動通信)から分社化した中国のRealMe Chongqing Mobile Telecommunications (RealMe重慶移動通信)は独自ユーザインターフェイスとしてrealme UIを披露した。

これまで、RealMe Chongqing Mobile TelecommunicationsのスマートフォンはGuangdong OPPO Mobile Telecommunicationsが開発したColorOSをベースとしたColorOS realme editionを採用してきたが、新たにrealme UIを導入することになった。

RealMe Chongqing Mobile Telecommunicationsが中国で2020年1月14日に発売するrealme X50 5Gおよびrealme X50 5G 大師版が発売時からrealme UIを採用する最初のスマートフォンとなり、Android 10をベースとしたrealme UIを採用する。

グローバルで発売済みのColorOS realme editionを採用したスマートフォンもアップデートを通じてrealme UIに置き換える方針で、すでにrealme UIのベータ版を発売済みの一部のスマートフォンに対して提供しており、2020年1月より正式版を順次提供する計画である。

なお、realmeブランドはGuangdong OPPO Mobile Telecommunicationsがサブブランドとしてインドで展開を開始した。

realmeブランドの展開をグローバルに拡大しており、realmeブランドの事業はGuangdong OPPO Mobile Telecommunicationsから分社化することになった。

Guangdong OPPO Mobile Telecommunicationsの親会社である中国のGuangdong Ooujia Holdings (広東欧加控股)がrealmeブランドの事業を担当する新会社としてRealMe Chongqing Mobile Telecommunicationsを設立し、realmeブランドの事業はGuangdong OPPO Mobile TelecommunicationsからRealMe Chongqing Mobile Telecommunicationsに移管された経緯がある。

RealMe Chongqing Mobile TelecommunicationsはGuangdong Oujia Holdingsの子会社にあたり、Guangdong OPPO Mobile Telecommunicationsとは兄弟会社の関係となっている。

realmeブランドの事業を分社化してからは独自性を強め、Guangdong OPPO Mobile Telecommunicationsが展開するOPPOブランドと比べてコストパフォーマンスをより追求した製品の展開に努めている。
